Energy’s critical connector

Creating essential, efficient links across the energy and chemical supply chains

A dynamic leader in transport

Fairwater delivers scaled, efficient and flexible capabilities in the Jones Act coastwise transportation of petroleum and renewable products, chemical and specialty parcels, and Alaskan crude oil. Our diverse fleet of 31 owned vessels includes both “ECO” and conventional medium-range product tankers, 114,000 DWT Aframax tankers, specialized chemical parcel carriers and a range of articulated tug barges (ATBs). Fairwater is a leading provider of ship management services for a diverse fleet of third-party owned vessels as well as providing engineering and new construction project services.

Our mission

Every day, we’re trusted with essential cargo that energizes lives across the country. As a vital link in the energy supply chain, we drive progress through safer, more efficient, and more flexible maritime transportation. Dynamic and determined, we carry oil to refineries, critical petrochemical feedstocks to manufacturers, and refined products and renewable fuels to end-users. At Fairwater, we connect people everywhere to the energy that moves us forward.

Our story

In 2024, two of the most prominent names in U.S. coastwise maritime transportation — Crowley and SEACOR Holdings — integrated their petroleum and chemical transportation fleets, capabilities, and teams to form Fairwater, a new, independent company. Today, Fairwater is a premier transportation partner, giving customers access to decades of technical and operational expertise, a larger and more diversified fleet, and an expanded geographic footprint. This position allows us to optimize operational and cost efficiencies, set the standard for safety and environmental stewardship, and lead innovation in delivering the next generation of transportation solutions to the industries we serve.

The Fairwater philosophy

At Fairwater, we partner with our customers to effectively solve every transportation need and challenge, today and into the future. We build strong, dynamic relationships based on trust that last, empowering our customers’ success over the long-term as we safeguard the health and wellness of our crew, our vessels, and the communities we serve. By working together, we connect people to the energy that moves us forward.
